Family Resource Center Activities
The Family Resource Center provides a safe, positive environment for family development. Their model is to meet some of the needs families have outside of nutritional.

- Giggles Squiggles and Squirms- Early Childhood Literacy Program 3-5 Year Olds Mon & Thurs 1-3pm-
-New Registrations are currently being accepted for Giggles Squiggles & Squirms program
- Interactive Family Play – Fridays 8:30-10 am or call for an open time for just your family.
- Strengthening Multi Ethnic Families Parenting Class-SPANISH, 12 session class held Mondays & Wednesdays from 10am – 12:30 pm. Free lunch and child care provided
- Fun with Story Time: Bilingual-Tuesday 2/7 10-11am, English-Thursday 2/23 3:30-4:3 0pm – free books and fun activities
- New Directions Institute – Getting Your Child’s Brain Ready for School –-Baby Brain Box Program – call for more information or to schedule an appointment
- New Directions Institute- KINDER PREP PROGRAM to be held in three classed offered (Fridays 8:30-9:30 am, held the 13th, 20th, & 27th call to register
- Parents as Teachers – Provides at-home parenting support to families (Open Enrollment)
- Weekend Homeless Meal Program- Touch of Love Ministries- Fellowship meal open to any and all the last Saturday of the month 2/25 3-5 pm
- Intermediate English classes meet Thursdays from 6:00pm until 7:30 pm
- Healthy Heart Class- Tuesday, 2/27 – English 10-11 am & Spanish 11:15 am-11:15 pm. Free snacks & Door Prizes
- Free Fluoride Treatments, for kids ages 0-5, during supplemental food distribution from 7:30-10am, 2/24
- Supplemental diaper and formula distribution is available the 4th Friday of the month, 2/24 9-10 am
- Free and Confidential HIV & STD testing takes place on the first Friday, 2/3, from 8:00am until noon and Tuesday, 2/21 from 8am- noon
- Narcotics Anonymous meets every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 7:00pm
- Bible Study with childcare provided- Immanuel Church Sponsors Thursdays from 7:30pm-9:00pm.
- The Back to School drive provides local children with clothing, backpacks and supplies at the beginning of every school year.
- The Operation Santa program connects community members to registered children’s wish lists to provide holiday gifts
